Issue 4, etc
As I come upon issue #4 of ITAK, I’m getting both excited and surprised. Excitement because I’m making a 4th issue, and suprise because, well, I’m making a 4th issue. In a few short months I will begin working on issue #5, which will mark and entire year of working on one project/idea.
It’s all very exhilarating.
With roughly 11 days to submission deadline, I finally got off my butt and posted submission calls and sent one mass email to past contributors. I have mostly decided on the cover for the issue, and will soon be sifting through entries and spending hours in front of the computer. Instead of reading Wikipedia, I will be laying out the zine and editing the zinewiki entry for ITAK. In the midst of that will be work, football, life and trying to stay sane.
Soon, I hope to weed through the files on this site and post thumbnails of the different zine covers. Those of you who have the original first issue will notice that I dressed up issue #1 when I did my last print run for NorthWest Zine Works. I also resized issue #2 into digest size.
Readership is small, but most of these types of projects start small, don’t they?
